Summer Reading Program
EVERY HERO HAS A STORY
The Summer Reading Program this year is all about heroes. All different kinds of heroes! Yes Super Heroes, but also every day heroes...firemen, policemen, dads, patriots, animals and more!
The kick-off will be Tuesday, June 16 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. From 1:00 to 2:00 we will give an introduction of the program to the kids. They will have the chance to win a prize every day by answering questions pertaining to the theme. There will also be opportunities for the kids to win tickets, for example when they read for 20 minutes, that gives them a chance of winning bigger prizes at the end of the program. Then from 2:00 to 3:00 the Imagination Station from Toledo will be here to give an Extreme Science Demonstration. After the program everyone will enjoy some ice cream!
Students in Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds) through 5th grade (grade student just finished) are welcome to come every day. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the activity days with a different program planned each day, and Wednesdays will be a movie day - we will play a movie that goes along with the theme for that week.

School Library Partnership
Beginning in the Fall 2015, the Fayette Library will partner with the Fayette Local Schools to provide Library services and educational programs for students preschool age through grade 12. Services will include 2 book fairs in the Fall 2015 and Spring 2016, Summer Reading Program, story hour for preschool children, and at least 2 days per week at the school library for classes for the elementary students.
We are excited to provide this service for our students, and hope this will give them more opportunities to love to read.
