New Employee
Our newest member of the Fayette Library staff is Mary Teeter from Morenci. Mary has been volunteering her time with us for the past 2 years, and has now joined our staff as a part-time librarian. She is a retired nurse with 2 sons, 2 grandsons, and 2 great-grandsons. She has had a love of books her whole life, so along with reading being a favorite hobby of hers, she also likes working with computers. Her mother was a librarian at the West Unity Library, and she is excited to be following in her mother's footsteps. Stop in the library and say hello to Mary.
Apply for your Ohio Veterans Bonus
Veterans who served during the Iraq, Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf conflicts may be eligible to receive a bonus from the state. Go to www.veteransbonus.org.gov and complete the on-line application form. You will been your DD-214 and/or other documentation showing your service dates. We also have at the library a list of contact information for each County Veteran Service Office in Ohio to answer specific questions Veterans may ask about the bonus and other questions about Veterans benefits. Don't have a computer at home? Stop in the library and use any of ours to apply for your benefits.
National Library Card Sign-up Month
September is National Library Card Sign-up Month. Your first Library carde is free, all we need is a valid driver's license for 18 years and older. Children under 18 years needs a parent with a valid driver's license to sign for them. What a great way to enjoy all our library has to offer. And it's free! So stop in to get your card today and support your library!
